KRAFT K5 - Multifunctional Coating Thickness Gauge with exchangeable probes


Portable Instrument for the Thickness Measurement of all types of coatings and parameters of their application. Advanced digital measurement techniques, extended keyboard and user-friendly interface will enable you to use the device in the most effective way providing high accuracy and measurement reliability.

The device is produced in two versions: standart version and version with increased matrix indicator.

Measuring coatings and parameters:

  • varnish-and-paint, enamel, plastic, mastic and other dielectric coatings on steel substrates;
  • galvanic (zinc, chrom, cadmium, silver, nickel and others) coatings on steel substrates;
  • anode oxide, varnish-and-paint, plastic, teflon and other dielectric coatings on non-ferromagnetic substrates;
  • silver, copper, brass and other electro-conductive coatings on non-ferromagnetic substrates;
  • varnish-and-paint and galvanic coatings on inner surface of pipes;
  • clad coatings;
  • concrete over the armoring steel;
  • surface roughness after sand and bead-blasting treatment;

Probes for coating thickness gauge K5, MK4-F, MK4-NF:

Probes are the most important component of instruments used to measure coating thickness with either Impulse Magneto-Inductive, Eddy Current Frequency (parametric) and Eddy Current Phase Digital methods. The geometry of the measurement area influences the measurement value. Often the measurement accuracy can be optimized by using a more suitable probe.

Probes F for K5 contain one calibration characteristics for coatings thickness measurement on ferromagnetic bases.

FO

Probe for galvanic (zinc, chrome, cadmium, etc.) and dielectric (plastic, paint, etc.) coatings upon small-size articles made of ferromagnetic materials.
