K5G

Specialized Multifunctional Coating Thickness Gauge with separate exchangeable probes for measurement of all types of galvanic coatings. Advanced digital measurement techniques, extended keyboard and user-friendly interface will enable you to use the device in the most effective way providing high accuracy and measurement reliability.

The device is produced in two versions: standart version and version with increased matrix indicator.

Measuring coatings:

  • electrically conducting non-ferromagnetic (zinc, chromium, cadmium, silver, nickel, copper, tin and other) coatings on steel substrates;
  • electrically conducting ferromagnetic (for example, electrolytic nickel) coatings on steel substrates;
  • electrically conducting non-ferromagnetic (silver, copper, brass, tin and other) coatings on the components made of non-ferromagnetic metals and alloys;
  • anodic oxide and other dielectric coatings on the components made of non-ferromagnetic metals and alloys;
  • multilayer coatings;
  • galvanic coatings on the inner surfaces of pipes;
  • plated coatings;>
  • metallic coatings on dielectric components.

Particulars

  • Use of Pulse Magneto - Inductive, Eddy-Current parametric and Phase Digital methods;
  • automatic probes recognition;
  • a number of new generation probes (up to 16) designated for different purposes and characterized by high durability and operation algorithms that exclude wear-out effect on measurement precision;
  • storage of calibration characteristics in probe’s built-in memory that excludes the device calibration in case of purchasing additional probes;
  • possibility of measurements on rough surface (up to Rz=400 µm), on small parts and inner surfaces of tubular bodies;
  • extended keyboard and matrix display providing user-friendly interface;
  • measurement data storage with clustering;
  • statistical evaluation of measurement data within one group;
  • averaging of measurement data;
  • possibility to transfer measurement and calibration data to IBM PC by means of USB for statistical processing and storage using NDT1-DATA software;
  • absence of temperature and time drift;
  • automatic shut-off after measuring;
  • Lemo connectors.

Designation of probes

Probes for the Magneto-Inductive measurement method

F probes contain up to 3 characteristics "coating/base" with the ability to save calibrations.

F0

Thickness measurement of galvanic coatings (with the exception of nickel electrolytic) in hard-to-reach places and on small-sized components made of  ferromagnetic materials.

F1

Thickness measurement of galvanic coatings (with the exception of nickel electrolytic), paint-and-lacquer and other non-ferromagnetic coatings on small-sized components made of ferromagnetic materials.

Probes for the Eddy-Current Parametric measurement method

NF probes contain up to 3 characteristics "coating/base" with the ability to save calibrations.

NF0, NF1

Thickness measurement of dielectric coatings on the components made of non-ferromagnetic metals and alloys (aluminum, copper, etc.). Measuring of electrically conducting non-ferromagnetic coatings thickness on electrically conducting non-ferromagnetic components.

Probes for the Eddy-Current Phase measurement method

PH probes contain up to 3 characteristics "coating/base" with the ability to save up to nine calibrations.

PH1

Thickness measurement of nickel electrolytic and other galvanic coatings on steel and other substrates with rough surface.

PH3

Thickness measurement of galvanic coatings on small-sized components and in hard-to-reash places.

Specialized probes for Magneto-Inductive and Eddy-Current Parametric methods

FxP, NFxP

Specialized probes used to control surfaces inside pipes made of ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic materials (pipe length up to 36 m, pipe diameter more 14 mm).
